ABDULAHI MOSQUE ARABIC AND ISLAMIC SCHOOL(ABDULAHI CENTRAL MOSQUE) Allen, Ikeja, Lagos
The Principal sponsor, in person of Alhaji Maruf Bello, commenced the building of the Central Mosque, which was commissioned.
The mosque continues to serve as a place of worship in that area for both the locals and travellers.
Daily and Jumah prayers were taking place in the mosque according to the Islamic way of teaching. Preaching and admonishing also take place, especially during the weekend period, to share more light about our religion.
The mosque faced very serious challenges from different groups. On one faithful day, a group went to demolish the Central Mosque, claiming to be sent by the Lagos State Government for the expansion of the road.
Efforts were made by different people to secure another space to rebuild the Central Mosque, which was successful. Many Muslims contributed towards having a suitable place for worship with Government approval to avoid the experience.
This brought about the leading of this write-up (ABDULLAHI MOSQUE ARABIC AND ISLAMIC SCHOOL). Abdullahi Mosque Arabic and Islamic School was established to serve as both a Worshiping and a learning Centre. A place where knowledge is being shared and commitment to foster the growth of young minds, preparing the leaders of tomorrow who fear Allah and know their responsibilities.
The Islamic religion moves hand in hand with knowledge, which is the concept of the first revelation. The Imam always served as a role model for all Muslims by showing a good example. Muslims have trust in their Imam by making them the final say in their religion. The Mosque is now in a suitable condition for worship and a learning Centre for all Muslims.
CONCLUSION
The Abdullahi Mosque Arabic and Islamic School has a very long history before reaching to it president position. The mosque faced different challenges wish lead to rebuilding the Mosque after demolition. The Muslim Ummah followed different ways to achieve a better place with a lance for the worship and learning Centre. Allah Almighty, by His glory and dignity, helped this ummah with great leaders who stand for His religion in any conditions.
Everyday at the Abdullahi Central Mosque is like a blessing with the active students and talented staff members around.
